Cardi B’s Silver Swirl Nails Are Literally Hypnotizing

She made her first post-baby appearance in a super-cool stripey, swirly set.

Congratulations, Cardi B! The Am I the Drama? rapper just welcomed her fourth child, her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, and now she’s ready for the next chapter of her life and career—with a glamorous, hypnotizing silver and black manicure to kick things off.

Cardi made her first post-birth appearance at the flagship store opening for the luxe stroller and car seat company Cybex in New York City. (They even designed some custom pieces for her kids!) She wore an all-black outfit and a cute, chin-length bob under a black bow hat, but my eyes instantly went to her nails: long, square shaped, and painted in a shimmering palette of inky onyx and sparkly silver. Curved, circular swirls in alternating strips of black and silver took up most of the nail real estate, leading to a blue-green gemstone set in the center of each nail. The tips, however, flipped the script with vertical stripes for fun contrasting pattern play. You could stare into them for hours and hours and never get bored. Her toes, which peeked out from knee-high flat sandal-boots, were painted a bright, classic white.

To say Cardi is ready for what’s next is an understatement. “My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it!” Cardi wrote on Instagram. “I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.” She added that this next chapter is “me vs. me” and that means she’ll be giving “the performance of a lifetime” on her upcoming tour. “There’s nothing thats gonna stop me from giving you guys the performance of a life time! I’ve learned i’ve healed, and I’m loving the woman I’ve become! That’s what this next era means to me and I’m stepping into it better than ever.” Cheers to that!
