Loveland Ski Area will open for the 2026–27 ski and snowboard season on Saturday, November 7. Chet’s Dream lift will begin turning around 10 a.m. $60 adult day lift tickets will be available at the window on opening day to celebrate 60 years of snowmaking.
On opening day, guests will have access to Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run, with top-to-bottom skiing and riding and nearly 1,000 vertical feet of terrain. Live music will take place on the Basin Patio in the afternoon to celebrate opening day. Rentals, private lessons and child care will also be available. The 10 a.m. start time will give teams a little extra time to put the finishing touches on the mountain.
“Opening Day is always special at Loveland, and this year, and every year, we owe it to our people. Our snowmakers and Mountain Operations team, along with every department that helped get us ready, worked day and night to make this happen. This season also marks 60 years of snowmaking at Loveland and to honor that legacy, we’re offering $60 adult day lift tickets for opening day,” Rob Goodell, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Loveland Ski Area, said.
That gratitude extends to a milestone year: 2026–27 marks 60 years of snowmaking at Loveland. The ski area was one of the first major Colorado ski areas to make snow. Today the system covers more than 240 acres, and the crew began making snow for this season on October 15.
