The Boeing 737-800NG has 76 business class seats and is based out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Premium class cabins are surging in popularity, with airlines such as BeOnd and La Compagnie offering all-business class flights.
The latest to get in on the action? Jet2 Charter, the charter arm of the low-cost British airline.
The specially configured Boeing 737-800NG has 76 business class seats, as opposed to the 189 seats on regular Jet2 planes of this size, each of which offers a minimum of 43 inches of legroom. It should be noted that Jet2 doesn’t actually offer business class seats on its regular services.
Based out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport in the UK, the airline has said it introduced the product following demand from sports, music, entertainment and specialist groups.
“This is the first time that we have featured a dedicated business class specification on our aircraft, so this is an incredibly exciting development for charter customers,” Trevor Caplis, head of charter and airline sales at Jet2, said.
“The feedback from charter customers who have flown on it has been exceptional, with the premium feel, space and comfort onboard really shining through. This luxurious cabin environment, alongside the award-winning Jet2 customer service, looks set to be a huge hit with charter clients this winter.”

Airlines betting big on premium options
Earlier this month, British Airways unveiled its new A380 design, complete with 106 business class seats that occupy the entire top deck – making it the world’s biggest. On top of that, the plane also has 12 first class suites.
Emirates is also upgrading its offering, unveiling the “world’s first electric premium economy seat with full-height privacy screen” in September.
TAP Air Portugal introduced “economy prime” back in June, while Qatar Airways CEO Hamad Ali Al-Khater has said the airline is “seriously considering” creating premium economy options.
