Some say Republicans have failed to deliver on their promises, while others remain disappointed with Democrats over immigration reform. In the Rio Grande Valley, community advocates are encouraging eligible voters to cast their ballots despite fears surrounding immigration enforcement.

As the midterms approach, economic pressures and immigration policy remain central to the debate over Hispanic voters’ political loyalties.
