Energy expert warns higher prices will drive up food costs
Osama Rizvi, global market and product strategist at Primary Vision, said consumers are likely to face higher energy bills in the coming months as energy prices continue to rise.
Consumers are likely to find themselves in a “very strained environment”, according to Rizvi, who said that “there is no way out of it as of today”. He believes European governments need to protect “consumers on the lower end of earning”, warning that rising energy and living costs could otherwise develop into a wider “social and political problem”.
