Hyundai plots 41 new cars for Europe by 2030

Hyundai has announced a massive new product roadmap to see it to 2030, targeting more than 100 product launches and updates around the world – 41 of them planned for Europe.
At its 2026 Investor Day, Hyundai president and CEO José Muñoz announced the aggressive plan to vastly increase the brand’s market share by launching so many new models and facelifts that includes more electric cars, hybrids and even Hyundai’s first range extender.
Some of these new models will be global launches, including the next-generation Tucson – a car that had its initial design unveiled in Korea – as well as a new global B-segment SUV and a Santa Fe EREV range extender that’ll be manufactured at the brand’s plant in Alabama.
It’s also confirmed another new B-segment SUV specific for Europe – the next-generation Bayon – and CAR intel points to a new i20 supermini being on the way, too. That will make up part of Hyundai’s aim to cover 85 per cent of the European market with pure electric cars by 2030.
As for performance cars, Hyundai intends to rapidly increase its range of N models, targeting 100,000 sales by 2030, and promises a ‘new volume high-performance tier’ of vehicles as part of the model range.
Part of the product expansion includes venturing into new markets not currently served by Hyundai; the brand says this includes ‘body-on-frame vehicles, including a midsize pickup and light commercial vehicles.’ One of those body-on-frame cars could be a production result of the Hyundai Boulder concept unveiled earlier in 2026 – likely for the North American market – and Hyundai could create its own version of the Kia PV range of vans and commercial vehicles, too.
As well as the new, massive GV90 with its coach doors and ultra-luxe cabin, Genesis will continue its rollout globally with a new hybrid GV80 model and it will also benefit from its own range-extender model by the end of 2027.
On top of that, Hyundai has also announced that it’s developing its own battery cells – and they’ll be deployed in future cars from 2027 onwards, starting with those range extenders. Hyundai claims these in-house cells charge up to 40 per cent faster and have a much higher capacity than cells currently used.
