Nike GT Cut 4 Gets a Final Taste of Summer

The G.T. Cut 4 has had a little late-summer refresh, and it’s looking suspiciously like a crisp can of watermelon soda.

The “Shirley Buckets” edition, created with basketball star Paige Bueckers, splashes the court-ready silhouette in juicy pink, red, and green. It’s the sort of colorway that looks like it should come with condensation on the outside.

The usual G.T. Cut 4 business is still going on underneath, but this one is less about getting into the weeds and more about enjoying the view. The colors do most of the talking, turning an otherwise performance-first sneaker into something considerably more playful.

There are Bueckers details tucked throughout, including nods to her initials and jersey number, while the glow-in-the-dark outsole adds an unexpected little party trick.

It’s a pretty perfect match, really. Basketball shoes have a habit of taking themselves very seriously, but the “Shirley Buckets” is happy to have a bit of fun. Think of it as the courtside equivalent of cracking open a cold one.

Basically, summer has officially made its way onto the basketball court, one ridiculously juicy colorway at a time.
