Oasis fans are getting increasingly impatient about when new concert dates will be announced…
After their sold-out Oasis Live ‘25 reunion tour, fans of Oasis are hungry for more. And growing impatient.
The Britpop band reunited after 16 years apart, following a long running feud between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. Their comeback shows were a massive success, and the tour was estimated by Pollstar to have grossed around £398 million (approx. €465m).
Now, Liam Gallagher may have given an indication that there are more Oasis gigs to come…
In a post on X, he seemed to suggest he’s waiting on his brother Noel to share the official announcement: “Ffs RKID announce the tour we’re all losing our minds.”
This comes after rumours that a 12-night residency in their home city of Manchester at the Etihad Stadium could be on the cards, as well as a Knebworth residency. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the band’s legendary Knebworth shows in 1996, where they played to a combined audience of 250,000.
Further fanning the Knebworth flames was news earlier this month that SJM Concerts, the promoter behind the Oasis reunion tour, had secured a licence to host events at Knebworth indefinitely.
As of writing, no dates have been confirmed.
Beyond possible UK dates, European fans are also anxious to find out whether the band will be adding any EU dates to their calendar, as the Oasis Live ‘25 tour spanned the UK, Canada, US, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, South Korea, Japan and Australia – but no concerts in mainland Europe.
There had been reports last year that negotiations were underway in Rome, but no further news… Same goes for the band writing new music, as many are speculating Oasis could return to the studio to record a follow up to their last album, 2008’s ‘Dig Out Your Soul’.
Elsewhere, Liam shut down rumours that Oasis would be headlining Glastonbury next year, telling one fan in an expletive-filled response: “It’s not HAPPENING so all you croc wearing flag waving shit cunts can calm the fuck down”.
Charming.
Oasis headlined Glastonbury twice before – in 1995 and 2004 – but the band seem to have fallen out of love with the festival, with Noel criticising Glasto on a podcast earlier this year, slamming it for “virtue-signalling” and claiming that it was getting “kind of preachy”.
In the meantime, next month sees the release of a new documentary following the brothers on their Live ‘25 tour. It will premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival, with the brothers set to attend.
Titled Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, the film is “an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world,” according to a statement by Disney+. “The unique perspective includes rehearsal, backstage, and onstage access as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 20 years.”
The documentary hits cinemas on 11 September and will stream exclusively on Disney+ later in the year.
