How to Watch the Philadelphia Cycling Classic as Simmons and Faulkner Headline Rebooted US Race

The Philadelphia Cycling Classic returns after a long and hard-felt absence this Sunday, August 30, and it’s attracted a suitably star-spangled line-up.

National road champion Quinn Simmons and Alaska’s Olympic superstar Kristen Faulkner headline the U.S. contingent slated for the first edition of “Philly” since 2016.

Canadian champions Derek Gee-West and Maggie Coles-Lyster are other key names to watch in Sunday’s reboot of a retired lynchpin of the U.S. domestic calendar.

And it won’t only be WorldTour stars chasing the $150k prize purse on Sunday.

Domestic talents will see their chances too.

A total of 19 North American men’s and women’s conti squads will join eight WorldTour teams and seven second-tier pro teams at the start of Sunday’s two races.

Watch out in particular for George Hinchapie’s fledgling Modern Adventure Pro Cycling in the men’s race. The U.S.-based team will come out swinging at their top-tier rivals after they relished a strong start to their European campaign in 2026.

How to watch the men’s and women’s Philadelphia Cycling Classic

Established in 1985, the men’s Philadelphia Cycling Classic was once the highest-rated UCI single-day race in the United States. The partnering women’s race was added to the program in 2013 before both events shuttered in 2016.

Both the men and women will tackle the race’s original city-center circuit on Sunday. The 23km loop is centered on the notorious “Manayank Wall,” a 500-meter climb that hits a 17 percent gradient in sections.

And the best bit about Philly’s long-awaited return?

It will be available to watch live both locally and internationally via race broadcaster 6abc.

6abc promises all-day coverage via all its streaming platforms, including the 24/7 channel, Hulu, and Disney+. The racing will also be hosted on 6abc’s YouTube channel.

The women’s 100km race rolls out at 08:30 EDT. The men’s 200km race follows at 12:00 EDT.
