Official: Enea Bastianini joins Trackhouse MotoGP team for 2027
Enea Bastianini will move to Trackhouse Aprilia for the 2027 MotoGP season
The Trackhouse Aprilia MotoGP team has confirmed that Enea Bastianini will partner Raul Fernandez next season.
Trackhouse was forced to go to the market after Ai Ogura elected to sign with the factory Yamaha squad alongside Jorge Martin for the 2027 campaign.
While several names were mooted for Ogura’s seat, rumours began to intensify in recent weeks that six-time MotoGP race winner Enea Bastianini had emerged as the favourite.
Ahead of this weekend’s Aragon Grand Prix, Trackhouse has announced it has signed Bastianini on a two-year deal, where he’ll join Raul Fernandez at the satellite Aprilia outfit.
“I am extremely excited to join the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team for the next two MotoGP Championships,” Bastianini said in a team statement.
“Starting from the test in Valencia this year, it is going to be a real new challenge for me as we are entering a new era with a new bike, new tyres and new regulations.
“For this, I am happy to bring my experience and my fighting spirit to Trackhouse so that we can develop the new Aprilia RS-GP together.
“The team has grown a lot during 2026, and it has become a title contender – for sure I will do my best for us to stay on top.”
Bastianini’s signing comes after two difficult seasons with the Tech3 KTM squad, during which he has so far scored just one podium.
His signing solidifies Aprilia’s stable for the 2027 campaign, which will also feature Marco Bezzecchi and Pecco Bagnaia at the factory team.
Of the remaining places on the grid, Tech3 is yet to confirm its line-up, though those seats are expected to go to Luca Marini and Senna Agius.
Pramac is yet to officially name its replacement for Jack Miller, with Moto2 frontrunner Izan Guevara set to get the nod.
At VR46, Ducati is expected to place Nicolo Bulega alongside Fermin Aldeguer.
Honda has confirmed its riders for the 2027 season, but is yet to decide who of David Alonso or Diogo Moreira will partner Fabio Quartararo at its factory team.
On Bastianini’s signing, Trackhouse owner Justin Marks added: “It’s a very exciting moment for the SuperFile Trackhouse team to welcome someone like Enea to race our Aprilias.
“His racing pedigree, his MotoGP winning history, and his experience at the top of this game all contribute to the perfect scenario for a racing team that we all believe is on the verge of greatness.
“Enea’s infectious personality, eagerness to get started, humility, and positivity are the attributes we always look for in our mission to attract athletes that are the entire package.
“We’re going to have a lot of fun chasing trophies and creating memorable moments over the next few years with Enea, Raul, and all the amazing people and partners at Trackhouse.”
