Skiers at Michigan’s most beloved ski resort will have brand-new terrain to explore this season.
Mount Bohemia recently announced the completion of seven new runs in its Voodoo Mountain area. Located about 10 minutes north of Bohemia, Voodoo Mountain is the resort’s remote backcountry ski area. It is only accessible by snowcat, and it is the first commercial snowcat operation east of the Rocky Mountains.
The seven new trails bring nearly 300 additional skiable acres to Voodoo, putting Mount Bohemia’s total terrain over 900 acres. The new trails sit between pre-existing ones, and traverse runs between sections of the mountain have been added as well. As a result, Voodoo Mountain will be more interconnected, giving skiers more options from the snowcat drop-off point.
All terrain at Mount Bohemia is expert-only, and while the resort has not announced what level its new runs are, they will likely be rated black diamond. Mount Bohemia does not groom any runs, adding to its challenge and appeal for expert skiers looking for a place to ski in the Midwest.

Adding to the excitement of new terrain, season pass holders at Mount Bohemia will have the chance to ski it for free. Each day, 28 pass holders will be chosen for a half-day trip to Voodoo, according to the resort’s Facebook post. Selected skiers will have an opportunity to explore some of the Midwest’s best backcountry skiing while enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Superior as they make their turns.
While many season pass sales start in the spring, Mount Bohemia’s begins much later, running from November 25 through December 5, 2026.
The Michigan resort’s season pass is also one of the cheapest in the country. Its price sits at just $117 — a price that rarely gets skiers at major resorts out west even single-day access to the slopes. Mount Bohemia’s season pass is good for seven days of skiing per week, with no blackout dates and one-year access to the resort’s Nordic spa.
Skiers also have the choice of a $99 season pass for skiing Sundays through Thursdays. Rounding out the resort’s season pass options are the two-year season pass for $187 and a lifetime pass for $1449.
As for pass benefits, passholders get free tickets to Mount Bohemia’s partner resorts. Partners for the 2026-27 season include Bogus Basin, ID, Whitewater Mountain Resort, Canada, and Loveland Ski Area, CO, just to name a few.
