Start Haus is gearing up for the return of its highly anticipated annual Ski Consignment Sale this Labor Day Weekend.
Running from Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6, 2026, the marquee event brings together hundreds of pairs of quality pre-owned skis, ranging from recreational and all-mountain models to high-performance race equipment and speed suits.
The event takes place at Start Haus’ store, located at 11351 Hwy 89 in Truckee, California.
“We consistently see shoppers lining up an hour before doors open on Friday,” says Start Haus owner Ryan Fowler. “It’s our biggest event of the year, drawing gear seekers from across Reno, Sacramento, the Bay Area, and beyond. Whether you’re looking to upgrade the kids’ winter setup or score a deal on high-end equipment, it’s the best time to gear up.”
Doors will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., offering 100s of pairs of ski inventory across backcountry, powder, carving, and race setups, alongside speed suits and winter essentials — all priced to move for the upcoming season.

Alongside the ski consignment selection, Start Haus is running its largest bike sale of the season. All weekend long, buyers can take advantage of discounts up to 50% off rental bikes, plus major markdowns on new eBikes, mountain, gravel, and junior bikes. Gear drop-offs are already underway, having kicked off on August 7.
Start Haus is accepting alpine skis, race gear (flat or mounted), and speed suits during regular store hours leading up to the sale. Sellers can choose to receive 70% of the final sale price in store credit or 60% via cash/check.
