For New Englanders looking to head out west for a ski holiday, getting there just got a little bit easier.
United Airlines recently announced its addition of a new direct service between Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Boston, Massachusetts, this winter. Starting on Feb. 13, 2027, and concluding on March 2o, 2027, the airline will operate Saturday-only flights between Jackson Hole Airport and Boston Logan on a 126-seat Boeing 737-700. The new flights mark United’s first direct service between Boston and Jackson Hole, helping Boston’s skiers experience one of America’s most famous resorts without the hassle of connecting flights.
“The JH AIR Board is excited to announce new nonstop winter 2026-27 service between Boston and Jackson,” Senator Mike Gierau said in a Boston.com article. “We have always punched above our weight in attracting Boston skiers. Our destination and ski terrain are a strong fit for this market, and a nonstop flight will make many returning skiers very happy.”
To make trips to Jackson Hole all the more enticing, guests traveling on the new nonstop route from Boston are eligible for a complimentary lift ticket on their day of arrival with a valid boarding pass or proof of flight. The promotion includes an equipment demo package from Jackson Hole Sports in Teton Village.

In addition to the new Boston flights, United offers direct service to Jackson Hole from seven of its U.S. hubs, including year-round direct flights from Denver. Adding the Boston route brings that number to eight during Jackson Hole’s busy winter season, making United the most consistent carrier in the Cowboy State.
“United is proud to operate the largest schedule in Wyoming and further expand our presence in the state with new seasonal nonstop service between Jackson Hole and Boston,” Mark Weithofer, managing director of domestic network planning at United, said in a news release. “This new route reflects our long-standing commitment to Wyoming and builds on our extensive service to Jackson Hole, giving customers in Boston direct access to one of America’s premier outdoor destinations.”
In the past, getting from New England to the Tetons meant connecting flights in cities like Chicago, Denver and Salt Lake City. But according to JH Air, Boston has been a historically strong market for the little Wyoming town, and adding a new direct route makes travel planning easier for New Englanders looking for a winter getaway. By turning a multi-stop journey into a single flight, United hopes to attract more East Coast skiers to Jackson Hole to experience its world-class big mountain terrain and powder.
For skiing the Rocky Mountain Teton Range, the timing could not be any better. The route is designed for maximizing time spent on-hill, with flights departing Boston at 10:20 a.m. and arriving in Jackson at 1:45 p.m.. This leaves passengers with plenty of daylight to get to lodging accommodations, explore Jackson, and even get on the hill if you can get your boots on quickly.
As the 2026-27 ski season slowly rolls closer, Jackson Hole is gearing up for a robust season while many other resorts are predicted to struggle due to a strong El Niño. With United Airlines’ new nonstop flights from Boston to Jackson Hole, Bostonians and New Englanders can ditch the East Coast ice for (hopefully) some powder laps at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
