‘Stranger Things’ star Noah Schnapp to make stage debut in London next month
He will appear in the new play ‘Affluenza’, written by Andy Sandberg
Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp is set to make his stage debut in London next month in a new play titled Affluenza.

The actor, best known for playing Will Byers in the Netflix sci-fi series, will lead the world premiere at Riverside Studios from September 26 until November 21, with an official press night on October 5.
Written and directed by Andy Sandberg, Affluenza is set among the wealthy residents of the Hamptons in New York and follows the fallout after a teenager’s drunken car ride ends in devastation.
The darkly comic play is inspired by true events and explores privilege, moral accountability, family legacy and the American justice system.
Schapp has said: “I am so excited to make my stage debut in London with Affluenza. I started talking with Andy Sandberg a few months ago about finding the right opportunity to work together, and it’s thrilling to now be bringing this play to life in London.”
“I wanted to be very intentional about what I took on next, and as I spend more time with this excellent script, I feel so connected to the characters. Without giving away too much, I get to play two very different roles, and it’s a story that’s really going to leave audiences talking and thinking.”

Sandberg has said: “Noah is a brilliant young actor who has captivated audiences on screen, and now London audiences will have the opportunity to see him in his stage debut.”
“I’m honoured that Noah has connected with the script, and I think it speaks volumes that he has chosen an original play for his stage debut.”
Shnapp appeared in all five seasons of the show, which concluded with a two-hour finale on New Year’s Day. NME gave the first volume of the final season four stars, writing: “Even in piecemeal form, Stranger Things has a flair for epic and emotionally resonant storytelling. After all those years, this smart, big-hearted sci-fi show still has the power to turn your head upside down.”
The franchise has already expanded onto the stage through the prequel show Stranger Things: The First Shadow, which opened in London in 2023 before transferring to Broadway. This year also saw the arrival of animated spin-off Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, while an immersive concert tour featuring music from the show launched in June.
