The Gravel Earth Series continued in Lithuania on Saturday, with Marjolein van’t Geloof and Rait Arm (Energus) claiming the victories in the tightly contentested finishes at Megre Gravel.
The Dutch rider, who races for Laboral Kutxa–Fundación Euskadi on the road, charged over the line to win the pro women’s race with a two second margin to French gravel champion Axelle Dubau-Prévôt (EF Education-Oatly). Swedish privateer Nathalie Eklund took third, just a further six seconds back in the 150km race over fast gravel roads and through the forest of Anykščiai, which also had a seperate women’s start an hour ahead of other groupd.
