Tom Brady and Logan Paul added another memorable moment to their increasingly bizarre rivalry during Fanatics Fest, with the NFL legend appearing to slap the social media star and WWE performer in front of a packed crowd at New York City’s Javits Center.

Whether the exchange was completely authentic or part of a carefully orchestrated bit remains open to debate.

Regardless, it quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the event, especially after cameras caught NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns looking visibly surprised as he stood between the pair.

Video circulating on social media showed Brady stepping toward Paul before appearing to strike him with his throwing hand.

The audience reacted immediately as security and those nearby looked on while the confrontation briefly escalated.

Brady later leaned into the moment on social media, posting footage of the incident while referring to Paul as a “dork.”

Fanatics also embraced the spectacle, describing the confrontation as “Round 100” of the pair’s “never-ending beef.”

Paul offered his own explanation after resharing the clip.

“This happened bc I was roasting Tom for beating him in flag football. And he tries to smack me ?? Horrible example for the kids Aura -100 + Blocked. With a torn tricep.”

Brady wasn’t about to let Paul have the last word, replying: “I tried America… will try again next time I see this nerd.”

A rivalry that has continued throughout 2026

Friday’s incident didn’t come out of nowhere. Brady and Paul have spent much of the year exchanging playful jabs at Fanatics-related events, creating one of the more unusual celebrity rivalries in sports.

Earlier this year, the two crossed paths during a Fanatics flag football game. At the end of one play, Brady threw a football toward Paul, who appeared to confront the seven-time Super Bowl champion afterward.

Brady, meanwhile, walked away wearing a broad smile, leading many fans to believe the exchange was more playful than hostile.

The rivalry continued in March during another Fanatics event, when Brady poked fun at Paul’s football background in front of a crowd.

“Logan pulled out of a lot of fights this week. You scored 19 TDs in high school. No one cares,” Brady said, referencing Paul’s reported decisions not to pursue bouts with former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell and Los Angeles Rams star Myles Garrett.

Paul, who has built a career spanning YouTube, professional boxing and WWE, has often embraced these public exchanges, knowing they generate significant attention online.

The latest confrontation comes while Paul is recovering from a torn left triceps injury suffered during a WWE World Tag Team Championship match earlier this year. Even so, he has remained active through appearances and promotional events.

For Brady, retirement has opened the door to different entertainment opportunities beyond football.

Since ending his legendary NFL career, he has become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, continued his broadcasting career with Fox Sports and frequently appeared at high-profile sports events.

Interestingly, Brady has also made it clear that stepping inside a WWE ring isn’t out of the question.

During a live recording of Cody Rhodes’ “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” podcast at Fanatics Fest, Brady admitted he would welcome the opportunity if the right storyline came along.

“I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for [WWE president] Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix,” Brady said.

He added: “I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there and still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete.”

Those comments have only fueled speculation that Brady’s interactions with Paul could eventually become part of a WWE storyline.

Paul is already one of WWE’s biggest attractions, and the company has frequently blurred the lines between real-life celebrity rivalries and scripted entertainment.

For now, there is no indication that Friday’s confrontation will lead to anything more than another viral moment.

Still, given the pair’s history and Brady’s openness to appearing in WWE, fans will likely continue watching to see whether their “never-ending beef” has another chapter waiting around the corner.
