A Belarusian ski resort is back on the auction block for the third time.
Lahoysk, located in central Belarus, is back up for auction starting on July 23 with an asking price of $4.9 million (13.9 million rubles), a significant price reduction from the last auction. Located roughly one hour north of the Belarusian capital, Minsk, the ski resort of Lahoysk is one of the two largest in the country.
What the Sale Includes
Lahoysk offers five trails, with roughly 2.2 miles (3.6 kilometers) of skiable terrain. The resort has two lifts: one four-seater and one j-bar, according to Ski Resort Info. It also has guest houses, gazebos, a restaurant, saunas, sports facilities, and a 1,000-car parking lot. The resort will be sold as a property complex, meaning all on-site facilities will be included in the sale.
A Third Attempt
Lahoysk will return for its third auction on July 23, 2026, after two failed attempts at securing a buyer for the resort. The resort was initially scheduled to be auctioned off on May 15, 2026 with a starting price of roughly $8.2 million. The resort was unable to secure a buyer, so the auction was rescheduled for June 17, 2026, with the price reduced to approximately $6.7 million. After that auction, there was still no buyer.

Now, in two weeks, Lahoysk will be back on the block with a nearly 40% price decrease since its last attempt.
Paying off Debts
The resort was originally operated by the Belarusian construction conglomerate Triple, founded by businessman Yury Chyzh. Following Chyzh’s 2020 arrest on fraud and money laundering charges, the Minsk Economic Court declared Triple bankrupt in July 2021 after creditors, led by state bank Belagroprombank, filed claims against the company. Lahoysk was among the assets ordered for sale to cover those debts. It was put up for sale in 2023 for $7.4 million, but no buyer was found. It continued to operate until March 21, 2026, before closing permanently while awaiting its new owner. Lahoysk operated for 22 years, according to the Belarusian news outlet Office Life.
