Back for its 28th year, families can now register their kids for Ski Utah’s 2026-27 Passport Program. The program gives eligible fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade students 45 days of skiing across Utah’s 15 participating resorts, providing families with one of the most affordable ways for their kids to experience the Beehive State’s world-class ski resorts.
The Passport Program represents incredible value with its single fee of $79, which gets kids on the mountain for just $1.75 per day across its 45 days in a time when lift tickets often run over $100 for a single day at major resorts. Despite the Passport receiving a $10 increase from the 2025-26 season, it remains one of the best, most affordable options for getting kids on Utah’s best snow on Earth.
The application process is simple: parents apply for their child online using a photo and paying the $79 fee. Applications typically take 24-48 hours for approval, but during the summer months, applications are not typically approved until October. Ski Utah ensures applications are processed and approved before the first resort opens.
The Passport Program price increases to $99 on December 1, incentivizing early registration.

The program gives kids access to a wide range of resorts across Utah. Participating resorts include big-time names like Park City Mountain, Deer Valley, Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude, helping young kids experience some of Utah’s most famous ski resorts in a single season.
The program allows three days at every participating resort, adding up to a total of 45 days on the mountain over the course of the season. The pass is available to all eligible participants, regardless of whether they live in Utah or are visiting from out of state, making it a widely accessible option for families nationwide.
Beyond its affordability, the Passport was created to introduce more kids to skiing and snowboarding at an early age. By lowering the cost of the pass and including major resorts, Ski Utah hopes to help more families get their children on the snow. More time on the snow means kids build confidence skiing and snowboarding, and hopefully, long-term participation in snow sports.
Participants can manage their Passport through the Ski Utah Pass Portal, where families can track usage, check resort availability, and monitor remaining pass days throughout the season. While some resorts have holiday restrictions, six of the participating resorts have no blackout dates, giving families even more flexibility across the season.
For parents who want to join their children on the mountain, the Yeti Pass is the Passport’s companion. It offers one lift ticket at each of the 15 Utah resorts for $899 with no blackout dates. Quantities are limited, so be quick, as the Yeti Pass has become popular for parents who want to experience Utah skiing with their young kids.
