Each season, freestyle skiers travel the world to compete in International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) World Cups on their journey to medals, the Olympic Games, and Crystal Globes, a season-long award given to freeskiing’s most consistent athletes. Over months of competition, athletes battle for podium finishes, looking to consistently perform at the highest level. After decades of World Cup competition, only a select few freestyle skiers have enough podium finishes to be considered the best.
These 10 freestyle skiers lead the FIS in all-time World Cup podium finishes.
#10: Alex Hall, USA — Slopestyle/Big Air
With 16 World Cup podiums, American slopestyle and big air skier Alex Hall has the tenth-most podium finishes in FIS Freeski World Cup history. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, Hall is a three-time Olympian and two-time Crystal Globe winner in his disciplines, taking the big air Globe in 2023-24 and the slopestyle Globe in 2024-25.
Though born in the United States, the 2022 Olympic champion spent his childhood in Zurich, Switzerland, where his parents taught at the University of Zurich, remaining there until he was 16 years old. Hall also holds Italian-American dual citizenship and was considering competing for Italy, but ultimately chose to compete for the U.S. after moving to Park City at 16.

The 27-year-old’s first World Cup podium came in 2018, when he won slopestyle at the Silvaplana World Cup in Switzerland. Hall has remained a strong American presence in freeskiing, taking gold in slopestyle at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing. China, and silver in slopestyle at the 2026 Olympics in Milano-Cortina, Italy.
Next in the list, we have a three-way tie for seventh place:
#7: Sarah Höfflin, Switzerland — Slopestyle/Big Air
Switzerland’s Sarah Höfflin has finished in a podium position at 19 World Cups. Competing in slopestyle and big air, the 35-year-old holds both an Olympic gold from the 2022 Games and four World Cup victories.
To go along with her Olympic medal and World Cup victories, Höfflin also holds two slopestyle Crystal Globes from the 2016-17 and 2019-2020 seasons.
The Geneva native only started competing seriously at 23, unlike most athletes who start at 15 or 16. Höfflin graduated from Cardiff University in Wales with a degree in neuroscience. A subsequent medical school rejection caused her to turn her attention to skiing, and she never looked back.
Höfflin’s first World Cup podium came with a victory at the Seiser Alm World Cup in Italy in 2018. Today, at 35, Höfflin is still competing. With her most recent World Cup victory at Silvaplana in 2026, Höfflin, who calls herself “your favorite space granny,” became the oldest World Cup winner in FIS freeski history, beating the previous record by four years.
#7: Johanne Killi, Norway — Slopestyle/Big Air
Tied with Höfflin, Norwegian slopestyle and big air skier Johanne Killi has 19 World Cup podiums. To go with her FIS medals, Killi also holds seven X Games medals and one World Championship bronze.
Killi first reached the World Cup podium in 2015, when she placed third at Silvaplana. The 28-year-old’s first World Cup win came two years later in 2017 in Quebec City, Canada.
In 2022-23, Killi had the best season of her career, winning both the slopestyle Crystal Globe and the overall park and pipe Crystal Globe. Despite her success, she announced her retirement from the World Cup freeski circuit, right at the peak of her career.
Killi still competes in select invitational events like Red Bull Unrailistic, which she won in 2024.
#7: David Wise, USA — Halfpipe
Also with 19 World Cup podiums, American David Wise is the first halfpipe skier on the all-time podium list. The Reno, Nevada, native has a total of seven World Cup victories, along with two Olympic golds and an Olympic silver.
Wise’s first World Cup podium came at the World Cup in La Plagne, France, where he finished in second place. He would first stand at the very top of the podium in 2012, winning the World Cup in Mammoth, California, and earning him the season halfpipe Crystal Globe.
At age 35, Wise is still competing and claimed third place in Secret Garden, China, in December 2024, behind teammates Nick Goepper and Alex Ferreira, becoming the first 30-something halfpipe skier to claim a podium at a World Cup event.
#6: Alex Ferreira, USA — Halfpipe
2026 Olympic halfpipe champion Alex Ferreira has the sixth-most FIS World Cup podium finishes with 21. Born in Aspen, Colorado, the 31-year-old is one of the most decorated American freeskiers of all time, with 10 World Cup Victories.
Ferreira began his World Cup podium career in 2015 in Tignes, France, where he came third. The halfpipe specialist had a historic 2023-24 campaign, achieving the first-ever “perfect season” in men’s freeski halfpipe, winning all five World Cup events, earning him the halfpipe Crystal Globe and overall park and pipe Crystal Globe for the season — the first freeskier to claim the overall globe with only halfpipe points. He carried the momentum into the 2024-25 season, winning two World Cups on his way to another halfpipe discipline Crystal Globe.
#5: Tess Ledeux, France — Slopestyle/Big Air
With 25 World Cup podiums, Tess Ledeux is the lone French skier on the list. Competing in slopestyle and big air, Ledeux has 17 World Cup victories.
Ledeux quickly made an impact when she began competing, winning slopestyle at the 2017 World Championship in Sierra Nevada at just 15, becoming the youngest-ever freeski World Champion.
The 24-year-old earned her first podium that same year with a victory at the Font Romeu World Cup in her home country. Ledeux hit her stride in 2020-21, winning 13 World Cups since that season.
The Bourg-Saint-Maurice native was unable to compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics following a crash and severe concussion suffered at the 2025 World Cup in Tignes. She plans to return to competition for the 2026-27 season and is looking ahead to the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps.
#4: Eileen Gu, China — Halfpipe, Slopestyle/Big Air
The most decorated Olympic freestyle skier with 26 World Cup podiums and six Olympic medals, Chinese skier Eileen Gu does it all. Competing successfully in all three freeskiing disciplines, Gu has cemented her place as one of the best freeskiers of all time.
Gu’s first World Cup podium came in 2019 when she placed second at the Font Romeu World Cup in France. Later that year, she got her first taste of victory at the Seiser Alm World Cup. Gu’s most successful season came in 2021-22, winning five World Cups. But at just 22 years old, Gu is just entering her prime.
At the 2026 Winter Olympics, Gu won three medals: silver in slopestyle, silver in big air, and gold in halfpipe. There, she cemented her position as the freeskier with the most Olympic medals.
Despite her accomplishments on the snow, Gu has been scrutinized for her decision to compete representing China, where she has citizenship and where her mother is from. By representing China, Gu has hoped to grow freestyle skiing in China, and recently, the number of skiers in China has boomed.

The 26-year-old is also the reigning Olympic champion in slopestyle after taking gold at the 2026 Games. He also holds Olympic gold in big air from the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Further adding to his many accomplishments, he has won two World Championships.

Gremaud had her record-breaking year in 2023-24, winning six World Cups and three Crystal Globes (slopestyle, big air, and overall park and pipe), becoming the first woman to win three Crystal Globes in a single season.
In 2026, Gremaud won gold in slopestyle at the Milano-Cortina Olympics, marking her second Olympic gold.
