FKA twigs ft. Lil Yachty – “On Your Mind”

Back with her first new material since the Eusexua album and its ensuing revamp version, visionary polymath FKA twigs enlists one of US rap’s most adaptable and amiable characters in Lil Yachty for “On Your Mind”. It’s an ethereal yet sharp backdrop of dominant snares and glitchy textures, while the pair vocally amble in and out of the beat, working surprisingly effectively in tandem.

Fimiguerrero ft. fakemink – “Skywalker”

Two of the UK underground’s finest, Fimiguerrero and fakemink, come together on “Skywalker”. This is cutting-edge British rap at its best, with heady synth lines, booming rhythm and snappy, slick and playful lyricism. The track is taken from Fimi’s long-awaited new EP, “The Statue of a Fool”.

MOLIY ft. Yailin la Más Viral & Theodora – “Jetski (FRIKI)”

From Ghana to the Dominican Republic, and a stopover in Congo, Ghanaian-American electropop princess is back and wants you to take a ride on her “Jetski (FRIKI)”. Alongside Yailin la Mas Viral and French-Congolese artist Theodora, they bring the summer heat on this anthemic, bass-bouncing, upbeat reggaeton-inspired track.

Tyla – “IS IT LOVE”

“IS IT LOVE” or is it Tyla? Based on the South African starlet’s new single, it’s both. Teasing fans bit by bit with glimmers of this new era ahead of the release of her sophomore album A*Pop out July 24th, she’s collecting all the brownie points she can. On this bumping-bassline track, she sashays between emotional uncertainty and effortless groove – like still dancing while crying in the club.

Two Shell – “Thing About You”

Two Shell is back with “Thing About You”, the latest taste of their newly announced second album, Infinite Now, arriving this October. Floating somewhere between a UK garage throwback, an Ibiza anthem and a half-remembered dream, the track pairs silky 2-step rhythms with the duo’s signature blurred line between human and machine.

Kelela ft. A.K. Paul – “outta time”

R&B soulstress Kelela is running “outta time” on this slow-release love ballad. Enlisting the help of British-Indian singer-songwriter A.K. Paul, they blend harmoniously on this R&B-meets-rock’n’roll melody, swirling with expansive synths. Raw and real, it captures the misty essence of love slipping away.

Mount Kimbie – “Monroe”

British electronic music icons Mount Kimbie are the latest artists to take over the acclaimed fabric presents mix series. Following in the footsteps of The Streets, Overmono, Daniel Avery and many more, the full-length release will drop on 31st July, but for now, we’ve been treated to two snippet singles. “Monroe” stands out, a rehash of their classic 2017 track “Marilyn”.

pollyfromthedirt – “Four in a bed”

There’s a gorgeous nostalgia to the latest song from pollyfromthedirt. Perhaps his softest, most sincere track to date, the Darlington hero is one of England’s brightest musical sparks, and with “Four in a bed” spins a musical passage of subtlety and sentimentality. Just lovely.

Dagny – “C’est La Vie”

With the release of her third studio album, Dancefloor Erotica, Norwegian pop raven Dagny is embracing the “C’est La Vie” ethos on this new single. Jumpy and joyous, with uplifting lyricism and a catchy, buoyant melody, it reflects a peace that can only come as a result of living through the fullness of life – one that Dagny has experienced, and wants everyone else too as well.

Sofia Cordoba – “Blisters”

Sofia Cordoba shares her new single “Symptom of Love”, a gentle guitar-led pop track that marks her first official release in English. It’s a really personal one where she expresses feelings of loneliness and missing someone in a soft and reflective track. Still rooted in her signature diary-style songwriting, it feels like a natural step forward, opening a new side of her world while keeping that emotional honesty intact.

Wilfy D, Lancey Foux & Pa Salieu – “Peas In A Pod”

Bristolian producer Wilfy D kickstarts the run-up to his forthcoming mixtape with an all-star teaser single, “Peas In A Pod”. Enlisting two of the UK’s hottest – in underground forefather Lancey Foux and Coventry lyricist Pa Salieu – the trio make a fiery collective on this playful and hard-hitting banger.

M Huncho – “Wild N Free”

It’s been over a year since M Huncho dropped his last album U2opia, but now, the London rapper is back with the follow-up, The Wizard. Highlighting “Wild N Free’ featuring sosocamo, they complement each other perfectly through Huncho’s melodic, higher voice with the North Carolina-native’s deeper, hypnotic vocals as they talk about the ups and downs of success and luxury.

Pretty Sick – “home2hide”

Pretty Sick, the project of Sabrina Fuentes, is back with big news; the NYC-bred band have announced their sophomore album, Anarchy. Alongside it comes new single “home2hide”, an euphoric mix of bass, trancey synths and diaristic songwriting that captures that push-pull of city life and emotional overload co-produced with Oscar Scheller and Frost Children. The visuals are pretty sick too, not one to miss.

néomí – “Close”

Surinamese-Dutch artist néomí will share a new EP, “Crunchy, Sad and Strangely Happy”, on 18th September via Nettwerk. The new teaser track, “Close”, is one of the brightest, most wondrous tunes she’s released to date, a dazzlingly uplifting art pop jam with euphoric builds and buttery harmonies.

MADELINE – “Earth Cry”

On her latest EP, MADELINE lingers in the reverie of an “Earth Cry”. Wavering wistfully between soothing, jazz-led melodies and soulful but synthetic textures, the London future soul artist finds herself lingering in the otherworldly, delving sonically into new terrain. The title track is both tantalising and terrifying, posing as a call to action to heal our world as it cries.

Koteri – “Dry”

Tricky twosome Koteri – formed of vocalist Abdallah Diab and Dinar Lusaka – are a scintillating new presence. Combining Arabic and Western music with craft and charisma, “Close” launches them into pop music consensus with potency and precision.

Damin Tyler – “Real Man”

Damin Tyler, the Florida-born, NYC-based singer-songwriter, introduces himself with “Real Man”, a queer, romantic and tender single taken from his forthcoming EP On Your Side that sits between dreamy indie and alt-pop. The track, with influences from Mazzy Star to Taylor Swift, captures that early spark of a connection and vulnerability he’s setting up as his sound.

Jax Jones – “Pulling Me Back”

Jax Jones’ latest summer anthem is “Pulling Me Back” for those beating-the-sunrise days after you leave the club. In the way he does best, he blends all those eclectic sounds that draw crowds to the dancefloor; infectious, staccato-like melodies that demand more than a two-step and finger points.

Basht. – “Keira Knightley”

Dublin’s indie-rock and post-punk Basht. share “Keira Knightley”, the new single from their upcoming debut album Poor Advice. The band lean into a post-punk sound here, using it to unpack the desperate lengths people go to in an effort to save a relationship. This track is named in reference to the Love Actually film, but underneath the hooky lines is something much darker and more reflective, setting up a more ambitious side of the band ahead of the album’s release.

RAEGAN – “Crying Is A Girls’ Best Friend”

New York theatre-pop artist RAEGAN returns with her new single, “CRYING IS A GIRL’S BEST FRIEND”, a bold, empowering anthem that turns heartbreak into strength. Featured on her upcoming EP “RAEGAN CORE”, the track blends theatrical flair with raw emotion, delivering both an intimate confession and a powerful statement.

Baby Rose – “Let Me Go”

Baby Rose is yearning for freedom with “Let Me Go”. On this track, the Grammy Award-winning artist proves that she can have it all – step down from love and still make a move towards friendship. With those sultry, full vocals, fused with a melody equally soulful, sombre and sweet, this truly feels like letting go.

Eulogy ft. Curtisy & Leo Miyagge – “Loose Leaf Tea”

Belfast producer has, for his forthcoming album Melancholia, enlisted an A-list of the thriving Irish rap scene. The latest teaser, “Loose Leaf Tea”, features the technically excellent Leo Miyagee and the charisma-fuelled Curtisy.

Troy Javelona – “SALTWATER”

British-Filipino dreamboat Troy Javelona shares a gorgeous debut EP, “NO HEALING WITHOUT HEARTBREAK”, an introspective and soulful bunch of pop cuts. Lead single and standout cut “SALTWATER” is particularly delicious.

Trxxy – “Tokyo Drift”

Manchester-raised rapper Trxxy is “Tokyo Drift”-ing through summer with this new track. Laden with punchy Patois lyricism, it’s the grounded grit of British drill mixed with waist-whining Dancehall touches. Destined for the day parties and the park hangs, it’s a high-energy anthem built for speaker stacks and sunshine

nuum – “In Your Head”

With a hyperpop sound that takes from electroclash and J-Pop influences, nuum returns to the limelight with his latest track, “In Your Head”. With a playful instrumental that bumps on game show-like sound effects, the Australia-hailing artist shows off his addictingly smooth vocals as he talks through dealing with rejection. And with an EP on the horizon and some packed, shoulder-to-shoulder gigs under his belt, the London-based act is one to keep your eye on.
