If you have dreamed of having your very own ski resort, this cabin in southwestern Colorado is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Listed at $25.7 million, the Hideaway Creek Cabin near Montrose, Colo., will soon be put up for auction from July 14 through July 28. The 35-acre luxury property is fully furnished with easy access to private skiing terrain. The property is currently accepting starting bids until July 13.

Completed in 2025, the Hideaway Creek Cabin features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and 4,181 square feet of lavish living. The cabin has an upscale lodge aesthetic, with extensive use of wood for its cabinets, doors, and trim. The home feels like a mountain retreat, designed for enjoying Colorado’s quiet and beautiful nature. Its 35 acres of land give it a secluded feel, offering room to enjoy the landscape.

The property is a part of the Cimarron Mountain Club, a private ski ranch tucked between Telluride and Crested Butte in the San Juan Mountains. The club is home to over 60 runs and 1,750 acres of private skiable terrain, reserved for just 13 other ranch-owning families in the club. For perspective, Aspen Mountain has 675 acres of skiable terrain — the Cimarron Mountain Club is almost three times that size.

Membership in the Cimarron Mountain Club means skiing with no lines, untouched fresh powder, and wide-open runs. The club does not own any chairlifts. All uphill access is operated by three luxury snowcats driven by expert guides. The club also offers access to heli-skiing operations directly from the ranch.

Members at the Cimarron Mountain Club pay an initial fee of more than $2.8 million, according to Business InsiderIt reported that all members are “powder hounds,” successful entrepreneurs or industry leaders, and have families.

But what’s a club without a clubhouse? The Cimarron Mountain Club has a lodge with a bar, lounge, spa, wine room, and six owner suites. It also has two luxury sleeping yurts, a 3,600-square-foot equipment barn, and luxury staff housing. The lodge is roughly 45 miles east of Montrose, providing quick access to the city’s airport.

The Cimarron Mountain Club was founded by retired natural resources lawyer Jim Aronstein. Aronstein purchased the property in 2004 before starting the club in 2018.
