Xbox’s 2027 Games Showcase will be a full 4K remaster of the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase, sources have revealed.
The full livestream will be released in sparkling 4K fidelity, and will feature updated controls more in tune with modern viewers’ sensibilities. These will include a range of emojis, including the all-new ‘Oh yeah, what happened to that one?’ and the Carlton Dance.
It’s a chance to see announcements like Gears of War: Reloaded and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Remake again, in remastered form.
It’s priced at $99.99, and due out next month. A $129.99 special edition, which is identical, will also be available.
Microsoft has also confirmed that several new cosmetic items will be available to wear while you watch, including a hat created in partnership with an incongruous high fashion brand, a set of horse armour, and a Ferrari x Charles Leclerc limited edition banana costume.
Fans have already begun speculating that Sony may also adopt this practice too, and that both platform holders could release remasters of their 2026 showcases as early as Q4 2026.
That would give gamers an opportunity to experience announcements like Halo: Campaign Evolved, Persona 4: Revival, Rayman Legends Retold, and Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered in remastered form.
