We know that the game won’t be a like-for-like remake of the original PS3 RPG. P Studio director Kazuhisa Wada noted last year that the game will be “enjoyable in a new and different way”.

“Persona 4 already packed a ton of content in Persona 4 Golden, so when it comes to creating the next ‘R’, it’s not just about adding more – we have to create an experience that’s enjoyable in a new and different way,” he said. “And this includes the sheer volume of content, so to be honest, it’s a tough challenge. But it’s shaping up nicely!”

This comes after the long-rumoured Persona 4 remake was finally, officially revealed at last year’s Xbox Games Showcase in June.

On its announcement, we learned that the game was titled Persona 4 Revival, and that it was set for release across Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5. WE also heard then that it will be coming to Game Pass on Xbox and PC on release, something Xbox reiterated during today’s stream, too.

The concept for the title is simple, really: it’s similar to 2024’s Persona 3 Reload; a re-release boasting updated visuals and gameplay.

“We are currently working on this project with all our passion and love,” said Wada last year. “We are confident that this will be a fresh and surprising product for both newcomers and long-time fans and we look forward to sharing it with you all.”
