Summary

  • CHOPSTICKS 箸 moves to 12Antwerp from May 30 to June 7, 2026, for Antwerp Design Week
  • The S—3 project features 16 East Asian creatives reinterpreting the everyday utensil
  • The showcase will be integrated into a collective exhibition titled The Hall

Following its highly successful debut during Milan Design Week, CHOPSTICKS 箸, the innovative showcase, is traveling to Belgium to engage with Europe’s prominent creative circles. Serving as the inaugural initiative by the platform S—3, the project bridges East Asian design sensibilities with global practices by inviting 16 distinct creatives from China, Japan, South Korea and beyond to challenge and reinterpret the form of the everyday chopsticks.

The exhibition will be hosted at 12Antwerp from May 30 to June 7, 2026, aligning with both Antwerp Design Week and the Antwerp Fashion Festival. The The participating roster features eleven product designers and studios exploring physical form and context, three graphic designers providing unique visual responses and a dedicated spatial studio, as well as an olfactory studio that together shaped the sensory atmosphere of the exhibition’s initial launch.

For its Antwerp iteration, CHOPSTICKS 箸 will be integrated into The Hall, a collective exhibition hosted by AIM and Yoko Choy at 12Antwerp — the architecture practice’s European headquarters and cultural platform. Conceived as an immersive and fragmented landscape, The Hall brings together diverse mediums including furniture, fashion, jewelry, collectible design and sculpture, into a singular spatial conversation.
