City-building game Cities: Skylines 2 wasn’t the sequel fans of the original were expecting, but more work is being done on them both as we speak. Meanwhile, it appears Paradox Interactive – known for strategy and management games – is betting on a Lego version of the series, or at least that’s what the latest Korean age ratings tease.

Ahead of Summer Game Fest 2026, the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea (via Gematsu) has updated a number of upcoming releases, with Lego Skylines showing up as a total surprise and ahead of a potential reveal in the coming weeks. Other major updates include Persona 4 Revival, which is the previously announced remake of Sega and Atlus’ RPG hit.

Other important listings include Gears of War: E-Day, which has been rumoured to launch in 2026, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The Guardians of the Galaxy rating adds more credence to a recent Taiwanese rating of a Nintendo Switch 2 port.

While we don’t have any details on the nature of Lego Skylines yet, the rating is linked to publisher Paradox Interactive, so it suggests it could be a blockier and more accessible version of the dense city builders. Looking at Lego’s brand recognition and Cities: Skylines’ popularity, it sounds like a solid pitch and something I’d love to play as a fan of city builders.

For Paradox, it could be a huge boost after a rocky couple of years, with Cities: Skylines 2 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 highlighting several high-profile struggles. Recently, we’ve also been impressed by Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, so here’s hoping a different developer can strike gold with a blocky collaboration too.
