Following the conclusion of its premier winter season in Alaska, boutique heli-ski outfitter Pulseline Adventure has announced its transition to the Southern Hemisphere for a month-long summer operation in Chile. According to a seasonal itinerary update released by the company, Pulseline will host a four-week guiding season running from mid-August through early September 2026, offering skiers and snowboarders access to deep winter powder during the traditional Northern Hemisphere off-season.
The new program operates out of a remote backcountry lodge nestled below the treeline in the Melado River Valley, located within Parque Guaiquivilo. The geographical scale and maritime snowpack of this pocket of the Chilean Andes closely mirror the big-mountain terrain of Alaska’s Chugach range, but with the added benefits of sheltered valley temperatures and authentic Chilean cultural immersion. Guests will stay in hand-built, rustic wooden cabañas outfitted with wood-fired hot tubs that sit directly adjacent to the river, allowing for a natural cold-plunge experience between ski days.

The daily itinerary is built around high-alpine flight access. Helicopters launch directly from the lodge property at an elevation of 2,000 feet, flying guests to massive terrain zones that primarily feature 10,000-foot peaks, with the highest landing zones situated on surrounding volcanoes topping out above 13,000 feet. Because the regional snowline typically hovers around 5,000 feet, the operation yields exceptionally long, continuous vertical descents across a territory that caters to both intermediate and expert riders.
As outlined in Pulseline’s package inclusions, the program provides six hours of direct helicopter flight time, professional mountain guiding, avalanche safety equipment, and all meals — concluding each ski day with a green-grass, open-air après charcuterie board, local Chilean wines, and wood fired hot tubs. To hedge against high-altitude weather delays that prevent flying, the outfit includes optional alternative activities such as backcountry touring, hiking, or surfing on the coast, allowing guests to maximize their adventure.
