Thunder’s Jalen Williams to be evaluated on a daily basis

Oklahoma City’s Jalen Williams will be evaluated daily as he continues to deal with a left hamstring injury, multiple sources confirmed to The Athletic on Thursday.

Williams, who played only seven minutes in the Thunder’s victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals on Wednesday, will undergo treatment and see how he feels. Game 3 of the series, which is tied at 1-1, is on Friday in San Antonio.

The Thunder’s All-Star wing missed nearly a month with a left hamstring strain before returning to play 37 minutes in Game 1 of the West finals on Monday. He scored 26 points in a double-overtime loss. But he exited Wednesday’s game after playing only seven minutes to get treatment on the same hamstring. He had four points and two steals before leaving the game.

Williams, a four-year veteran out of Santa Clara, was an All-Star in the 2024-25 season when he averaged a career-best 21.6 points, along with 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. He was limited to 33 games this season, averaging 17.1 points per game. Williams has played in only four playoff games so far this spring as the Thunder seek to defend their championship.
