World No 1 Jannik Sinner leads the entry list for the 2026 French Open, but two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz won’t feature at Roland Garros this year.

With Alcaraz absent due to a wrist injury, it means world No 3 Alexander Zverev will be the first name on the drawsheet in the bottom half with three-time winner Novak Djokovic and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime next in line.

Ben Shelton, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, Alexander Bublik and Flavio Cobolli complete the top 10.

Besides world No 2 and six-time Grand Slam winner Alcaraz, Lorenzo Musetti – who reached the semi-final 12 months ago – is the other seeded who will be absent as the world No 11 is out with a thigh injury.

Great Britain’s Jack Draper and Denmark’s Holger Rune are the other two high-profile players who won’t play in Paris.

Spanish teenager Rafael Jodar (19) is among the players who are seeded as he is No 27 on the drawsheet following his incredible performances at the Madrid Open and Italian. Jodar was seeded outside the top 150 at the start of the year, but his quarter-final appearances at those two events helped him to surge up the rankings.

He is one of two teens to be seeded with Joao Fonseca one place below him, while 17-year-old Frenchman Moise Kouame is the youngest player in the draw as he earned a wildcard from Roland Garros organisers.

Kouame made history in March at the Miami Open when he became the youngest player since Rafael Nadal in 2003 to win an ATP Masters 1000 match.

Stan Wawrinka and Gael Monfils, who will both retire at the end of the 2026 season, will also be in the draw as they both initially received wildcards before Wawrinka moved into the main draw following Musetti’s withdrawal.

2015 French Open champion Wawrinka is one of only two players in the Roland Garros draw who have lifted the Coupe des Mousquetaires with Djokovic’s three titles coming in 2016, 2021 and 2023.

There are currently 112 names on the entry list with the remaining 16 coming from the qualifying tournament.

Ranking Points

With the ATP using a rolling 52-week, cumulative system to determine the rankings, players have to defend the points they earned from the 2025 French Open. Players drop points from last year at the start of the tournament and then earn points again for every round win.

Example: Jannik Sinner finished runner-up last year so will drop 1,300 points, but will earn points for every match win at the 2026 edition.
