The plush 94-room cliffside retreat boasts its own private beach and marks the brand’s second property in Greece.
Set to welcome its first guests on 26 June, the Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos is one of Greece’s hottest new openings this year – and marks the luxury hospitality brand’s second property in the country.
Located on the western edge of Kalo Livadi Bay, on the southeastern part of the popular Greek island, the 94-room cliffside retreat is just 20 minutes from the airport and the stone streets and whitewashed buildings of Mykonos Town (Chora), which is home to designer boutiques, art galleries and casual cafes.
With its own jetty for yacht excursions and curated experiences ranging from beach-hopping to cultural trips, guests can also explore the nearby island of Delos, the legendary birthplace of Apollo and one of the world’s most extensive mythological and archaeological sites.
Rooms and design
Designed by renowned Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis, the property’s 15-acre grounds unfold like a Cycladic village across landscaped terraces and gardens. Rooms and suites are linked by shaded stone paths and courtyards, with interiors that lean into clean lines, natural materials and soft, sun-bleached tones.
Each accommodation comes with a furnished terrace and uninterrupted sea views, while many feature private plunge pools. Sustainability is factored in, too, with desalinated seawater systems, solar energy and advanced waste management in place.
Dining and social spaces
Food is a key offering at the new Four Seasons property, with concepts developed by New York’s Rockwell Group. Álef leads with a Mediterranean grill centred on wood-fired cooking, while Kafeneo channels the spirit of a traditional Greek coffee house for slow mornings and sunset ouzo.
Corbu brings a coastal Italian twist, and the beach club offers a more relaxed setting for cocktails and light bites throughout the day. Private dining – from intimate dinners to full restaurant takeovers – rounds out the offering.
Wellness, beach and facilities
A seven-room spa, designed by Wimberly Interiors, anchors the wellness programme, with treatment suites, a sauna, steam rooms and an outdoor pavilion overlooking the sea. There’s also a fitness studio and yoga space for those keeping to routines.
Down the hillside, a private beach offers a quieter alternative to Mykonos’ famed beach clubs, alongside watersports and laid-back lounging. Two infinity pools, with sweeping coastal views, provide another focal point.
Families are well catered for, with a kids’ club and connecting rooms, while couples can make use of an on-site chapel for weddings overlooking the Aegean.
The opening marks Four Seasons’ second property in Greece, complementing the established Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens on the Athens Riviera. The two can be combined in a single trip, linked by short flights, boat transfers or even helicopter hops.
