Updated:

Chinese robotics company Unitree Robotics unveiled a transformable humanoid “mecha” robot featuring a cockpit for a human pilot.

Footage released by the company showed founder Wang Xingxing climbing into the robot’s cockpit before the machine walked, transformed and performed movement demonstrations.

The piloted robot suit can switch from a humanoid form into a quadrupedal walking mode. Unitree said the GD01 is its first manned transformable robot platform.
