Aerial footage shows widespread tornado damage across Mississippi

Aerial footage reveals extensive destruction after tornadoes swept through parts of Mississippi, damaging hundreds of homes.

Aerial footage shows the extent of destruction after powerful storms and at least three tornadoes tore through several counties in Mississippi, damaging around 500 homes and injuring at least 17 people.

Images from above reveal flattened buildings, destroyed vehicles and uprooted trees across large areas.

Residents walked around their properties surveying the damage.

Authorities said the storms struck late Wednesday, leaving widespread damage but no reported fatalities, as emergency teams and residents continue to assess the impact.
