Wilier launches the new Wilier Rapida as a more affordable road bike in the lineup.
The company is positioning the Rapida as Wilier’s access point to its road bike range, offering refined Italian aesthetics and racing geometry in a package where full builds are priced on the low end of the racing spectrum.
To make that racing heritage more accessible, Wilier tweaked the geometry for a slightly more relaxed fit, but the ultimate draw of the Rapida remains the price. A full Shimano 105 Di2 build paired with the newly released Miche Asfalto carbon wheelset goes for 3,999 euros (around $4,230). While it isn’t the absolute cheapest bike on the market, it establishes a significantly lower barrier to entry for the Italian brand.
Less money, same classic Wilier aesthetics

The Rapida is a race bike, from the sharp aerodynamic profiling across the tube shapes to the fully integrated cockpit. The bike is built for speed, Wilier argues, by being a bike that meets the rider where they are — offering accessibility through fit, cost, and its looks.
“Rapida stems from a simple idea,” Wilier said in the launch announcement, “speed is, first and foremost, whatever feels right for you. Fluid, made for everyday riding, built around your rhythm.” The brand continued by saying “Rapida carries the Wilier identity in every line. Design, technology, and character meet in a project designed to make the Wilier experience accessible to a wider audience, with the same design focus that defines the entire range.”

The Rapida does have aero tube shaping through the NACA airfoils on the frame, fork, and seat tube. Additionally, the one-piece aero cockpit adds to the aerodynamic minutia of the bike. On the other hand, the Rapida adds a bit of height to the stack of the bike, putting it in between the premium race offerings of the brand and its more relaxed endurance bikes. It also ups the clearance to 36mm, giving more room to add a bit more comfort to the overall ride quality with wider tires.
Speed is paramount, but in a way that is more compatible with the everyday rider. That is the thesis of the Rapida and part of that is the way it looks. The frame has all the visual trappings of a modern Wilier race bike. Dropped seat stays, a robust down tube, fork, and cohesive, and clean lines from the aerodynamic foils all cut a distinctive silhouette while the available black, white, grey, and orange color options help further reinforce the look. Both visually, and technically, this is a bike designed to deliver on the promise of buying a Wilier, just for less money.

Wilier Rapida pricing and availability

Beyond the frame details, the accessibility of the Rapida extends to build configurations. Like all Wilier road frames, the bikes are equipped with 86.5mm press fit bottom brackets. Additionally, the Rapida is future-proof with a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger and a removable front derailleur hanger to allow for sleek 1x road configurations.
Perhaps most importantly for the price point, the Rapida is still compatible with mechanical cable routing, allowing for both Shimano 105 mechanical and Di2 groupsets to be offered, bringing price points down and offering more entry-level specs.
