The Complete 2026 Gravel Racing Calendar

In 2026, gravel seems to be at a stabilizing point. As we have knocked off the first stops of all the major series on the calendar, we are getting to the meat of the schedule.

Much of it is starting to feel comfortable and familiar.

When we began putting this guide together for this year, for the first time, things seemed familiar. Some races, even, have gone away or been postponed. All that being said, gravel is still very healthy. The big races remain, local favorites are as strong as ever, and the choice for global consumers are ample.

For riders, racers, and fans, this new season offers more than just a chaotic spray of weekend options. Gravel has grown into a world of series and storylines — Gravel Earth, the UCI Gravel World Series, Life Time Grand Prix, and beyond — which gives riders of every ability a chance to chase podiums or personal goals.

Then again, other grassroots events bring the party instead. Not all of the races listed on here are purely competitive and many will suit those looking for the challenge of simply getting a race done. This guide will help you navigate those choices, highlighting both aspirational and realistic races at home and abroad.

Although impossible to list every event, we tried to cast as wide of a net as we could. Included are all the races in marquee series like the Life Time Grand Prix, Gravel Earth, and the Belgian Waffle Ride Quad-Tripel Crown, as well as all the UCI Gravel World Series events that have announced dates thus far. Yet, we went further than that, adding in popular local series like the Grasshopper Adventure Series, Southeast Gravel, and the Arizona Gravel Series, as well as copious other independent races across the country and around the world.

January and February

January and February used to be months without gravel races. Now, the calendar is getting underway in Australia, Florida, Colombia, Spain, and Arizona.

Most of these races are local and the bigger tests get underway in March. However, between RADL GRVL proving to be one of the biggest races in Australia, BWR Arizona providing one of the best courses in all of gravel racing, and Santa Vall opening the Gravel Earth Series, the racing is now well underway when March comes knocking.

March

While the season now technically starts earlier, March is when things get even bigger. Mid South is the keystone in the United States with the race in Oklahoma now expanding to two days to give one to the runners and the pros, and one to the massive party. It is the key American Spring classic.

April

In April, the weather warms in the northern half of the globe and all the major series get underway with Sea Otter Gravel opening the Life Time Grand Prix, several UCI Gravel World Series events taking place, and the Gravel Earth Series continuing. Nevertheless, some of the best events in April are the deeper cuts, days like the Appalachian Journey, a Cape Epic-style gravel race, or Barry Roubaix, a race that sells out every year.

May

In May, the gravel calendar revolves around two things: the two big races at the beginning of the month – the Traka in Spain, and BWR California in the US – and then Unbound at the end of the month, tying it altogether. Nevertheless, if you aren’t a “big race” hunter, there are plenty of grassroots alternatives along the way.

June

While many will be tempted to take their foot off the gas after the big highs of May, the hits just keep coming in June with three Gravel Earth races, two BWR events and SBT GRVL. In terms of local races, the attention firmly turns to the high altitude terrain of the Alps and the Rockies.

July

The lull in the gravel calendar does seem to hit in July as the summer heat is in full effect and the season has been on the gas for several months. Nevertheless, with big ticket items like the Rift still up for grabs, there is plenty to choose from if you are looking in the right places.

August

When the calendars turn to August, the intensity turns up as the summer grows short and everyone is looking to get their last licks before its too late. Gravel Worlds is a great example of this as Nebraska plays hosts to many of the best gravel racers in the world fighting for the original gravel world title that existed well before the UCI waded into the gravel waters.

September

September is the final transition period in gravel. The final mountain races are tackled, the US National champion is crowned, and the Life Time Grand Prix starts its crescendo.

October & November

Gravel wraps up, for the most part, in October. Sure, Arizona has a vivid late season calendar, but for the most part it all builds to the UCI Gravel World Championships and the Big Sugar Classic that wraps up the Life Time Grand Prix.
