Oklahoma City forward Jalen Williams left during the third quarter of Wednesday’s Game 2 between the Thunder and the Phoenix Suns with a left hamstring injury.
With 6:28 to play in the quarter, Williams rose for a fast-break layup, which he missed. Upon landing, Williams reached for his left hamstring after an apparent tweak. He looked at the Thunder’s bench, nodded and mouthed “left.”

Williams played in only 33 games during an injury-riddled season, much of it stripped because of a pair of right hamstring strains. This injury concern isn’t for the same hamstring, but Williams detailed the frustration behind the soft-tissue injuries after returning late in the season.
Through the first two games of this series, Williams appeared to have the burst back that he’d initially missed, residual effects after aggravating his right hamstring late in the season.
Despite fielding questions about his health after Game 1, Williams looked to return to form. In Wednesday’s first half, he tallied 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting.
