Updated:

A 10-day ceasefire went into effect in Lebanon on Friday, but there have been several Israeli strikes and Hezbollah claimed its first attack on Tuesday.

Footage on Wednesday showed widespread destruction in parts of southern Lebanon following Israel’s invasion of the area to carry out military operations against Hezbollah.

The Israeli military has established a buffer zone stretching around 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory.

Within this area, homes and infrastructure have been destroyed, with Israel saying the demolitions are aimed at eliminating Hezbollah positions and preventing fighters from operating near the border.

Fighting between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah broke out after the US and Israel launched their initial strikes on Iran.
