Trackhouse teases Spanish MotoGP “surprise”
Trackhouse Aprilia tease “surprise” at the Spanish MotoGP: “You will see the bike in a different colour.”
After running a Gulf livery in the Thai and Brazilian rounds, then special stars and stripes colours for race day at its home COTA event, Trackhouse reverts to its ‘2026’ MotoGP livery at Jerez.
But team principal Davide Brivio is promising “a surprise… You will see the bike in a different colour.”
That is due to a partnership with SuperFile, an existing Trackhouse NASCAR sponsor whose logos first appeared on the RS-GPs of Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez in Austin.
A full Trackhouse-SuperFile paint scheme was promised “soon”.
Ahead of this weekend’s Spanish round, it was duly confirmed that ‘for the first time the MotoGP team will run both its Trackhouse RS-GP26 bikes in the striking colour scheme of the Chicago-based tech innovation company’.
Fernandez and Ogura arrive at Jerez holding sixth and seventh in the world championship standings, respectively.
Fernandez stood on the podium twice at the Buriram season opener, while Ogura looked on course to claim his first premier-class rostrum until a technical issue at COTA.
“We had a great start to the season with Raul on the podium and Ai with the potential to go on the podium as well,” Brivio said.
“So, we had great performance in the first three rounds and it’s very important to see if this trend can continue also back in Europe.
“Jerez will be a good opportunity to test ourselves, to see where we are and if we can continue the positive start of the year.
“Moreover, we have a test on Monday and this will be another opportunity to further work on settings in order to find a good base for the rest of the season.
“So, we’re going to Jerez, still quite excited from the beginning of the season and are extra excited as we have a surprise during the weekend – you will see the bike in a different colour.”
