An Aruba.it Ducati remained on top of the timesheets during Saturday morning’s final practice for the 2026 Assen WorldSBK round.

Iker Lecuona set the pace on Saturday morning from the Bimota of Alex Lowes, fellow Panigale of Alvaro Bautista and BMW’s Miguel Oliveira.

However, Lecuona’s team-mate Nicolo Bulega, who has won all six races so far this season and set the Friday pace with a 1m 33.687s, continued to focus on race rubber on his way to fifth.

Chantra accident

Red flags were waved with eight minutes remaining due to an accident for Somkiat Chantra on the exit of Turn 5, the hairpin leading onto the back straight.

The former MotoGP rider was conscious but clearly in pain and required treatment on track before being taken to the medical centre, allowing the session to restart.

Chantra’s team-mate Jake Dixon is currently sidelined by injuries in testing at Phillip Island, with Jonathan Rea replacing the Englishman for a second event in a row.

The Assen WorldSBK Superpole qualifying session takes place at 11:15am local time (10:15am UK).
