New Lepas brand will launch L6 SUV at Milan Design week

Lepas, the slightly posher brand launching in Europe from Chinese automotive giant Chery, has confirmed its next car for launch. This is the new L6, a new SUV that will go on sale in the UK and Europe later in 2026.
The brand is using Milan Design Week to unveil the new L6 first, seemingly intent on launching something that is as anonymous looking as this into a sea of design and fashion innovation. The marketeers have clearly been hard at work here, while it almost looks as if the designers have accidentally designed a Changan Deepal S07 again – that, too, being a bland-looking car all on its own.
Not too much about the new L6 has been confirmed just yet – and we can’t see the interior until the car is launched during Design Week – but Lepas has announced that it will arrive with both battery-electric and hybrid powertrain options.
The hybrid L6 model will use the same Super Hybrid system applied across all of Chery’s brand’s like Jaecoo and Omoda, which has a 1.5-litre petrol engine, e-motor and battery all combined. Lepas says this model will manage 700 miles on a single tank/charge. As for the EV version, Lepas says that uses a 67kWh battery pack and is capable of around 270 miles of range via WLTC testing procedures.
The L6 is the second car to launch under the Lepas name in Europe, with the first being the larger L8. UK MD Ray Wang says the brand ‘will engage the world in the language of elegance,’ with the brand promising the L6 will launch with the latest interior and driver assistance tech.
We’ll find out more when the car makes its debut during Milan Design Week, and again when the L6’s full specs are confirmed closer to the car’s launch in the UK.
