With new programs, apps and game-changing updates regularly added to the Creative Cloud, Adobe’s series of events often provide a space for users to learn about its latest tools and get familiar with the features before experimenting with them at home.

Adobe’s first-ever Creator Live event, however, was a little different. Taking place in London last month, the one-day affair switched the focus from creative pros to those creating content for social media, inviting online personalities, content curators and even gamers to discover new features such as the AI Assistant in Adobe Photoshop. It also doubled up as a place for creators to meet and share knowledge on refining their craft and growing their audience.

From podcasting in the Adobe Live Studio Sessions to remixing illustrations in an AI prompt masterclass, attendees were able to learn more about Adobe workflows, tools, and AI capabilities that could help with creating their content as well as see how others are producing standout work across formats and platforms. The panel talks, though, became the main attraction of the fair. They explored how the latest features could shape the future of content creation, but also delved into wider topics of creator economy, emotional labor, and monetizing.

In one talk, TikTok’s Creative Consultancy Lead Sammy King spoke of the benefits of using AI in his field whilst stressing the need for intention when using this new technology and bringing a human touch to videos. Elsewhere, YouTuber and internet personality Niko Omilana took to the main stage with Adobe’s Marketing Manager Leah Walker to discuss how to find your niche in content creation.

After a discussion which explored the ways AI can become your creative partner, Brandon Baum spoke to Hypebeast about his journey using Adobe tools. “When I was 12 years old, I started making After Effects videos and uploading them to YouTube,” he shared. “I became obsessed with creators that were teaching me how to bend the laws of reality using this software to create and tell these stories that were fantastical.”

But, beyond creative tools and the rise of AI, he mentioned why connecting with other creators at events like Adobe Creator Live is the ultimate opportunity for building your platform. “I’m always so inspired when I hear how other creators manage their workflows and how they bring their magic to life,” he said. “Getting to speak to so many other like-minded creators today has been the highlight.”
