Powder Mountain, Utah, announced a set of new programs and benefits today, April 2, expanding accessibility for families. The changes take effect for the 2026-27 season and include a new Kids Ski Free benefit, expanded pass access for teen skiers and riders, and the launch of Powder Ski & Ride Team, including a competitive freeride program for young athletes.

“Families are the core of the Powder community and we’re offering these passes to reflect how important they are to the fabric of the mountain,” said Brandi Hammon, Powder President. “Having grown up here, I fully appreciate what access to the mountains means for our kids. We want our kids to learn to ski at Powder, and we’re aiming to preserve that opportunity with these initiatives.”

Kids Ski Free

Adult season pass purchasers will receive up to two complimentary youth passes for children 12 and under. The benefit is available with the purchase of any adult season pass and is designed to make it easier for families with children to enjoy season-long access to uncrowded skiing and riding.

Expanded Youth Pass Access for Teens

Powder Mountain is expanding season pass options for teens ages 13–18, with new pricing across Unlimited, Unlimited Renewal, and Midweek tiers. The updated options will reduce the price of a season pass for teens by up to $300.

Powder Ski & Ride Team

Powder Mountain will offer a new competitive freeride program for young athletes through Powder Ski & Ride Team. The program extends the resort’s existing multi-week ski school offering with a competition track, giving serious junior skiers and riders structured coaching, team development, and a pathway into freeride competition. Registration for teams opens May 1st.
