Welcome to Velo’s Taipei Cycle Show coverage, where we share our favorite things we’ve found at the 2026 show. Bikes, components, accessories, and more: if we think it’s cool, you’ll see it. See the rest of our coverage here.

Today is the launch of the Tavelo Grow gravel bike and just as you’d expect, it’s affordable. For now, we mostly have pretty pictures but what we can see looks good.
I’ve been hunting for Tavelo at the Taipei Cycle Show with an eye on getting more info for future coverage. The Chinese brand has been steadily building a reputation for high-performance carbon, and I wanted to track them down. When I finally found the booth, instead of just looking at their existing road lineup, I got a first look at this brand-new release.

The Tavelo Grow is a dedicated aero gravel race rig that delivers exactly what a modern gravel frame should. Built around a dropped chainstay design and showcased in a wild neon colorway, the frame maxes out tire clearance with room for a 55mm in the front and a 50mm in the rear.
Despite the aero focus, Tavelo didn’t strip away the utility. The Grow features top tube mounts, a third bottle mount under the down tube, and the standard two inside the front triangle. They’ve also added an in-frame down tube storage compartment that uses a Fidlock magnetic closure system to keep the cover secure and rattle-free.

On the mechanic’s side, the brand stuck to the exact modern standards everyone wants to see right now: a threaded bottom bracket and a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH).Pricing is set at an aggressive $1,880 USD, which gets you the frameset along with an integrated handlebar. For more information, you can visit the Tavelo website, though this one is too new to be listed just yet.
