The “Princess Jewelry” Trend
We told you the statement necklace deserved a comeback. Throw crowns in the mix, too. Everyone wants to be dripping in jewels (costume or not) right now. They look great with our French rolls.
I have a couple of theories about why princess jewelry is everywhere. For one, every girlie who was obsessed with Mia Thermopolis as a kid has adult money to spend now. The Princess of Genovia in her diamond necklace and headphones was a super-popular Halloween costume for a few years running, but why not get the look every day?

The Y2K connection is even bigger, too. Remember those sparkly shirts that said “princess” that everyone was wearing way back when? This is a less in-your-face version of that. Or, if you’re still in the mood to look back on 2016, we can talk about YSL’s tiaras from the era.
It’s also a little bit ironic. We’re fearful of a recession and larger post-capitalist issues are constantly looming. The whole look is kind of “let them eat cake,” but the prices of lab grown diamonds and crystals make it easier to bask in the irony.

Where You’ve Seen It
At the 2026 Grammys, Pink Pantheress appeared in a luxe droplet diamond infinity necklace by Pandora—and plenty of other jewels “totalling 93 carats of bespoke lab-grown diamonds.” Ariana Grande has been working with Swarovski and loving the sparkle, too.
Jennifer Behr and Julia Hobbs’ new “Everyday Tiaras” are their own royalty. They were released on February 12, but Alexander Skarsgård wore one to host SNL at the beginning of February, and Lily Allen and Suki Waterhouse sparkled alongside the editor in their own on New Year’s Eve.

“Over the last decade, I’ve witnessed a shift away from saving precious pieces for ‘best’. The whole point of seeking out rare vintage ‘grails’ is to incorporate them into a more casual everyday look, and the added flex is daring to wear a piece of fashion history with ripped jeans and flip flops,” Hobbs explained in a press release. “I love the idea of reinterpreting the iconic Jennifer Behr bridal tiara as a piece which can be worn everyday, without a special occasion.”

Okay, pretty pretties. It’s time to look the part. And trust me, you don’t need a gown to do so. While celebs are dripping in diamonds on the red carpet, these sparklies look just as good (even cooler, honestly) with your favorite jeans and a black T-shirt. Don’t belive me? Just take a scroll through this Natasha Poly shoot and get back to me.
Ahead, find an assortment of jewels (some real, some not) that will make all your royal dressing dreams come true.

Key Takeaways
- This spring, “Princess Jewelry” is trending.
- The trend includes dripping diamond necklaces, over-the-top cocktail rings, and tiaras built for daily wear.
We will never be royals. Or even close. But we can still wear tiaras…daily, even, if we feel like it. There are no stuffy, long-ago-appointed rules about when and where to wear our jewels that we have to uphold.
And thank goodness for that! Because “Princess Jewelry” is trending big time this spring. After a long time spent obsessing over more fantastical looks, we’re grounding ourselves in reality… sort of.
From dazzling necklaces and dangly earrings with a retro flair to tiaras built for everyday wear, we’re all about the Princess Jewelry trend. The royal we, that is.
