“Right now, if the war were over tomorrow, the Iranian people are in worse condition than if Trump had never launched a war,” Ian Bremmer from the Eurasia Group told DW. Asked about the Trump administration’s objectives in this war, he said: “Originally, they wanted Venezuela redux. There’s only one problem: It turns out that Iran is not Venezuela.”
