Hot Magenta

Ready to go vibrant in celebration of the warmer weather on its way? Van Iderstine and Kao forecast hot magenta and berry hues for March, as well. “Spring isn’t just for pastels,” Van Iderstine says. “Some depth and a bit of pop are just what you need for a new season. A spicy pinkish-purple screams spring break vibes, even if you haven’t left your desk all day.”

“Deep berry hues are making a statement this season, offering a fresh, modern alternative to classic pinks,” Kao adds.

Baby Pink

Baby pink might not be groundbreaking for March and spring, but it’s a classic seasonal polish color for a reason. “From fresh blooms to flouncy fabrics, a soft pastel pink feels effortlessly pretty,” says Olive & June’s mani trend expert and vice president of content, Olivia Van Iderstine. “Because these shades are so pale, they’ll feel sweet without being too saccharine.”

Le Mini Macaron co-founder and CEO, Christina Kao, agrees. “Think Pilates girlie,” she exclaims. “Soft, romantic, and timeless, powder pink continues to be a go-to for effortlessly chic nails for spring.”

Salmon Pink

If you’re craving a bit more warmth without quite as much zing, peachy and coral hues are always a good option for March and beyond. “Salmon pink nails are a spring favorite because they capture the warmth and soft vibrancy of the season,” says nailsaloon artist Jenifer Guevara.

Butter Yellow

For a lighter, brighter March mani that’s fun and playful yet works as a neutral, consider a butter yellow polish. “This pastel yellow is having a major beauty moment, bringing a subtle yet cheerful warmth to nails,” Kao says. (I mean, if Timothée Chalamet can wear the color from head to toe at the Oscars, we can certainly offer a smidge of space on our nails, don’t you think?)

Matcha Green

In addition to being a fan-favorite beverage, matcha is inspiring March manis near and far. It’s not the only green hue welcome in the salon this month, though: “Everything is in bloom, even your nails,” Van Iderstine says. “The fresh new foliage for spring gets the mani treatment with soft, sage-y shades of green, sweet mint, and deeper moss.”

Meanwhile, Kao posits pistachio as the green polish of the month. “The obsession with pistachio didn’t stop in the kitchen,” she says. “After its food-world peak in late 2024 and early 2025, the creamy green shade is now trending in nails.”

Dreamy Purple

A dreamy pastel purple polish is an ideal pick for those looking to honor March as the cusp month it is. The cool undertones of lavender nod to the chill of winter, while the light color looks toward the arrival of spring. “Purple nails bring a unique mix of creativity and elegance to the table,” Guevara says. “Whether it’s a soft lavender for a subtle, dreamy vibe, or a deeper plum for bold sophistication, they add a distinctive pop that can elevate your overall look.”

That said, Van Iderstine specifically suggests lavender nails for March. “We’ve been big fans of lavender for a while—it’s one of our favorite new neutrals,” she admits. “It goes with everything, especially when there’s a bit of white or even gray in the formula.”

Milky White

Month after month, milky white is proving to be the chicest, most coveted neutral on the block. “Neutrals never go out of style, but a semi-sheer milky white is crisp but still soft, [making it] ideal for spring,” Van Iderstine says.

Iridescent Finishes

This month, embrace shimmer and shine to usher in the hopeful vibes of March. “It’s spring, so let’s shimmer a little,” Van Iderstine says. “Now that sunnier days are here, reach for a polish with a touch of iridescent shimmer. It will glow in the sunshine without being an all-out glitter party.”

Kao seconds that: “Ever since Hailey Bieber’s glazed donut nails went viral, we haven’t let go of the high-shine, luminous look,” she says. “This year, expect an evolution into even more chromatic, iridescent hues across nails.”

If you want to ditch the color and stick to your milky white finish, though, Guevara says adding a chrome topper is still worthwhile: “While a bit more modern, white chrome nails offer a sleek, reflective finish that still [looks] neutral and elegant.”

Soft Sandy Neutral

Of course, if you’re craving a true nude nail look, March has a trending polish hue for that, too. “We’re feeling a little bit country this season, so taking inspo from some western workwear for our go-to neutrals is a must,” Van Iderstine says, noting that sandy neutral polishes are on the rise this month. “Look for a more toasted beige shade, or even some with a touch of orange for some more cowgirl flair.”
