One of the best racing horses in the modern era of the sport will be coming to Umamusume: Pretty Derby, according to a statement from the horse’s owner.

Speaking to horse racing outlet Idolhorse following Forever Young’s victory at the Saudi Cup yesterday, Susumu Fujita teases the appearance of the champion: “Forever Young will be in Umamusume soon, I can’t say the exact details, but it’s a huge thing for me personally that Forever Young can contribute to Umamusume.”

This follows a mysterious tease from the official Umamusume: Pretty Derby last year, which showed a silhouette of a horse and a date. This date, it turns out, is Forever Young’s birthday. So there’s some extra proof if you aren’t convinced.

Umamusame: Pretty Derby remains an incredibly popular mobile game since it released back in 2021, and further still when it came out in Europe and America last year. It even won a Game Award for Best Mobile Game, which is certainly something.

The developers of Pretty Derby, Cygames, announced in January its intention to create an AI-focused sub studio, aimed at producing “AI-services and tools”. Following backlash, Cygames rolled this back somewhat, stating it wouldn’t use generative AI “without prior notice”.
