Due in no small part to Wale, the Nike Air Max Goadome is back in the spotlight for the first time in years. Following a strong pony hair pack and pairs tied to Wale and Yeat, the iconic “Nike Boot” now delivers an ode to the region that arguably made it famous in the first place: the DMV.

As immortalized in Wale’s 2007 track “Nike Boots,” the greater Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area played a major role in popularizing the ACG boot in the early 2000s, even if New York artists like Jim Jones have disputed that claim over the years. This pair certainly makes a strong case for the DMV’s connection. The boot arrives in cherry red leather with collegiate-style typography reading “DMV” along the spine. Inside, the insoles feature a cherry blossom graphic, a callback to the DMV Foamposites released last year, another project tied to Wale.

The Nike Air Max Goadome “Cherry Blossom” is expected to release Spring 2026 for $230 USD. It would not be surprising if Nike hosts DMV-based events ahead of the public launch. See official images below and stay tuned for further updates.
