Stop Overpaying for Gear: Introducing the Velo Deals Finder

Published February 2, 2026 01:04PM

Stop overpaying for cycling gear! The new Velo Deals Finder compares prices across retailers to find the best discounts on bikes, tires, components, and really just about anything you need to feed your two-wheeled habit.

Instead of jumping from tab to tab checking various retailers across the internet, we’ve got you covered right here in one place.

At Velo, our expert reviews help provide context and deep dives on the latest tech, helping you decide how to most effectively spend your gear budget. This new tool is all about combining our expertise and the knowledge you already have into finding the absolute best deals for you.

Bottom line: the Velo Deal Finder will help you keep more money in your pocket.

What is the Velo Deal Finder?

Deals come and go faster than we can possibly share them with you. I keep lists of deals and share things I think are interesting, but can’t possibly share all of them. This new tool automates that work and tailors it to you.

I’ll continue to share my top picks in Velo Deals but now you can jump in and search for the best deal on exactly what you need, when you need it. It’s a way to use your own expertise to find the lowest price on the specific item you are hunting for.

How to use the Velo Deals Finder?

It’s simple. Go to the Deals page and type in what you’re looking for.

  • The Specific Search: You can be precise with a query like “Garmin Edge 1040” or “Shimano Ultegra Chain,” and you’ll see who has the best price right now.
  • The “Discovery” Search (The Pro Move): This is the better way to use the tool if you are looking for the best available price on a category. If you need gravel tires, I promise there are a few options that will work. Instead of getting specific, just search for “gravel tires” and change the dropdown menu to “Biggest Discount.”

I just tested this and found the WTB Raddler TCS Light in a 700×40 for $30 each. The latest and greatest might be a Schwalbe G-One RS at $88, but I spent multiple seasons riding the Raddler and it’s excellent. Getting a great tire for $30 is bonkers. Make liberal use of that “Biggest Discount” filter and you will find gems.

Why use it?

  • Find Consumables: Stock up on chains, tires, and sealant without paying MSRP.
  • Spot Big Ticket Drops: See instantly if that smart bike or wheelset you’ve been eyeing has dropped in price across the web.
  • Filter the Junk: We share deals from legitimate cycling retailers, so you aren’t sifting through gray-market knockoffs.

Bottom line: This is a genuinely useful tool that we will be using ourselves, and we know you will love it too.
