Samsung’s next Unpacked, where it will likely introduce the Galaxy S26 series, is upcoming, and with its imminent arrival are even more rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4. While Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the new wireless earbuds, it may have accidentally done so this week.
In its Samsung Members app, where users get more information about Samsung products as well as deals, Samsung Turkey’s Galaxy Buds 4 Pro and Galaxy Buds 4 were listed prematurely and could arrive as soon as Feb. 25. If that’s not a big hint, I don’t know what is.
The existence of the Galaxy Buds 4 and 4 Pro isn’t the only hint we’ve gotten, either—drips have been coming for months, with a few major ones dropping this past week. Here’s everything we (kind of) know so far.
6. A small gesture
Strings of code found by Android Authority in a leak of Samsung’s One UI 8.5 update indicate that the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro may get a head gesture feature. With that feature, users could potentially do a few things, including answering or rejecting calls, hearing notifications read out loud, and dismissing timers and alarms. Head gestures aren’t groundbreaking, but that’s quite a lot of controls at least. Good luck remembering all of them and not straining your neck trying to use them if that feature should come to pass.
5. A case for a new case
The buds aren’t the only things potentially getting a makeover. The same leaks from Samsung’s One UI 8.5 update also show that the Galaxy Buds 4 and 4 Pro’s case may look a little different. For one, instead of dropping into the case like the previous generation of wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro appear to lie flat inside. Again, you’ll see no complaints from me on this front since I prefer this style of case—it’s just less screwing around, in my opinion.
4. A battery bump

According to a report from GalaxyClub from October, the Galaxy Buds 4 (and presumably the Buds 4 Pro) will both see an upgrade to the size of the battery in their case. Specifically, that figure goes to a 530mAh battery as opposed to the Galaxy Buds 3, which have a rated case battery capacity of 500mAh. That’s not a huge bump, but any extra battery is fine in my book. Hopefully, the wireless earbuds themselves get an increase along with it.
3. An ultra upgrade
One of the most enticing rumors I’ve seen has to do with the potential for Samsung to use an Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip in its Galaxy Buds 4 and 4 Pro. While this rumor from SamMobile is a little flimsier than the rest since it involves a patent application (those are very hit and miss), one of the biggest upsides of UWB is that it could theoretically transmit more data than a regular Bluetooth connection and equate to higher fidelity audio. It’s also lower latency, making the wireless earbuds potentially better for things like gaming or calls.
On top of that, it would also open the door for better tracking capabilities, just like in the recently released AirTags 2. This one might be a big question mark, but it also has the potential to improve the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro the most.
2. Bye-bye blade design

One of the biggest leaks we’ve seen so far has to do with the potential for a new design. Leaked animations from Samsung’s One UI 8.5 update back in November show that the Galaxy Buds 4 and 4 Pro may ditch the blade design for a flat stem.

I personally wouldn’t be mad about that. As interesting as the blade was, squeezing the angular stem just didn’t feel right. Here’s to hoping that Samsung made the right choice with this one.
1. A price plateau?
We can’t say for sure what pricing will be, but we may have gotten a rough idea with leaks on European pricing. According to the French outlet, Dealabs, the Galaxy Buds 4 and 4 Pro will debut at €179 and €249 (about $214 and $297 USD), respectively. The best part about those prices is the fact that they would mark a plateau compared to the last generation of Galaxy Buds. Whether or not that will translate to the U.S. is anyone’s guess, but in a world where everything is getting more expensive, static pricing feels like a win.
