Results: Lauren Stephens and Simen Nordhal Svendsen Win 2024 Garmin Gravel Worlds

The 2024 Garmin Gravel Worlds wrapped up on Sunday after a hard, hot weekend of racing outside of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Lauren Stephens and Simen Nordhal Svendsen won the 150-mile pro races, with Stephens repeating after her 2023 win and Svendsen, of Norway, celebrating his first victory in Nebraska.

A $30,000 prize purse was paid five riders deep in both the elite men’s and women’s fields.

Stephens shared the podium with Karolina Migon, Emily Newsom, Crystal Anthony, and Emma Grant. The men’s second through fifth place finishers were Innokenty Zavyalov, Adam Roberge, Pete Stetina, and Ethan Overson.

Thanks to expanded sponsorship from Goodlife Brands, Garmin Gravel Worlds added $10,000 to its pro women’s prize purse with a fresh twist to the racing. The first 20 pro women that arrived at the race’s second race checkpoint ahead of riders from the general race field received $500, regardless of where they finished the race.

The ‘race within a race’ was made possible by a separate start time for the pro men’s and women’s field. In the 150-mile race, pro men started at 5:55 a.m., followed by the pro women 10 minutes later. The rest of the 150-mile field started at 6:30am.

Also new this year at Garmin Gravel Worlds was a full livestream of both the men’s and women’s pro races. Video crews dedicated to each race rode with the lead riders Matt Lieto and Dede Griesbauer, Bill Schieken and Amanda Nauman provided commentary.
