Not only did the RMS Revitalize Hydra Concealer impress me with its seamless coverage, but the formula also boasts major skincare credentials. It’s infused with a laundry list of beneficial actives, including hydrating shea butter and jojoba oil, antioxidant green tea extract, soothing aloe, and anti-inflammatory turmeric root extract—a complexion-enhancing cocktail that left my skin looking naturally radiant. The creamy formula, which applies with a tiny tapered brush, blended beautifully without settling into lines and creases. 

I would describe the coverage level as medium—enough to vanish redness from blemishes and noticeably brighten up the under-eye area, giving my skin a smooth, even-looking finish with no cakiness. Like many concealers, it did transfer slightly if I touched my face excessively, but in general, this cover-up lasted well from morning until evening.

If you’re in search of a full-coverage concealer to keep your complexion looking completely even, this one’s for you. Our tester described the consistency as thick; it’s best applied on top of moisturizer to assist the blending process and prevent it from settling into dry patches. A small dab of product was enough to seamlessly cover blemishes, under-eye circles, and broken capillaries alike, and the budge-proof formula held strong all day. 

There is a bit of a learning curve with this option, according to our tester. Apply too much concealer or not enough moisturizer underneath it, and the product can appear heavy and unnatural-looking. However, once she’d nailed the less-is-more approach, she appreciated its seamless coverage and impressive wear-time.

If you need a reliable concealer that’s budget-friendly, add this Maybelline pick to your shopping cart. Click the hydrating formula into the sponge applicator and dab it on to conceal, highlight, and contour as needed. On the face of it, the sponge tip is useful, but our tester said it wasn’t an efficient tool for blending, so keep an additional brush or beauty sponge handy. The creamy formula is pretty light on coverage, but she found it buildable enough to cover discoloration and blemishes. It worked like a dream under her eyes, drying with a nice, even-toned matte finish.

Finding the right concealer for the under-eye area can be tricky: Too lightweight and you won’t get the smoothing, brightening benefits; too thick and you risk emphasizing lines. Our tester says this option worked wonders under her eyes. Its creamy consistency blended nicely, covering dark circles and giving her under-eye area a subtle, dewy look. The peptide-rich formula was buildable but hydrating, and did not emphasize lines around her eyes like similar products she had tried in the past. After applying a little setting powder to lock in her look, she was impressed by how well the concealer lasted—eight hours later, her skin still appeared flawless.

Alas, one of the many skin changes one can experience as they age is breakouts (perimenopausal/menopausal acne is a thing, believe it or not). I was experiencing some stubborn lower-face blemishes during the product trial, and commend Dior Backstage Concealer’s coverage prowess. The medium-weight formula was buildable but never cakey, and it seamlessly camouflaged redness from my past and present pimples. It provided the right amount of coverage for me – enough to help me feel a bit less self-conscious about my current breakouts but without feeling like I had tons of makeup caked on. The concealer’s creamy texture blended easily and provided light hydration, resulting in a smooth, natural finish that was neither too matte nor too shiny. 

It lasted really well throughout the day, although it would sometimes transfer if I rubbed my face. For some reason, the container was messy, so be prepared to wipe around the lid with a tissue every now and then.

This serum-infused concealer from Tower 28 promises to improve the look and feel of skin while simultaneously covering areas of concern. Our tester remarked on how lightweight and hydrating the formula felt (probably thanks to its star ingredient: hyaluronic acid). It blended effortlessly and gave a natural, slightly dewy finish. She especially appreciated how buildable the formula was, reaching full-coverage levels of concealment without any heaviness whatsoever. The one downside is that the formula noticeably settled into lines as the day wore on, but it was nothing some quick blending couldn’t fix.

In an ideal world, we’d simply apply a concealer once and not think about it again until it’s time for the pre-bedtime makeup removal. This long-lasting concealer does just that. Our tester applied a couple of dabs (a little goes a long way with this formula), went about her busy day, and was happy to discover that her coverage still looked great hours later. The formula had a yellow undertone that effortlessly color-corrected the purple-hued circles under her eyes without emphasizing fine lines, and it was buildable for full-coverage results. She experienced a bit of minor creasing, but still gave the formula two thumbs up for its natural finish and long-lasting wear.
